FESTIVAL

A FULL DAY OF NON-STOP MUSIC, STRUM-ALONGS, AND OPEN MIC

The Rocket City Ukulele Festival will be held on Saturday, May 4 2019 on the picturesque grounds of the National Speleological Society (NSS) in Huntsville, Alabama and is organized and conducted by the Rocket City Ukulele Festival Committee.  The Festival’s goal is to promote interest in and enjoyment of the Ukulele in and around the Tennessee Valley and to advance and share "Ukulele Love” and the “Hawaiian Spirit of Aloha.” Admission is free. 

PARKING & AMMENITIES

The site has ample parking, restroom facilities, and plenty of tables and chairs.  Attendees should bring their instruments and music stands.  Coolers for food and drink are allowed and there will be food trucks on site.

FESTIVAL ACTIVITIES

Admission is free. Saturday’s events will run from 8 AM to 6 PM and will feature beginner sessions and classes on various aspects of ukulele care and playing.  Those not participating in the classes will be able to gather in small groups to share music and expertise. Open-mic sessions will be available and performances will be held on the NSS floor and stage.  The festival will also offer opportunities for club performances and group participation in strum-alongs.
